Candidates are fully assessed and referenced by ourselves, usually prior to you receiving any prospective applicants (minimum of two recent references are a prerequisite), and when geographically not possible, we assign the services of the TEAM Network of Agencies to meet and vet applicants on our behalf.
Specific software skills are integral to a successful appointment, and we have online tests that applicants can complete “free of charge” for any role that may require specific levels of IT competency.
FEES - All placements are chargeable at a highly competitive finder’s fee rate, agreed in advance. Free advice can also be offered on the availability and current salary expectations of a broad range of professionals.

Our first step in any assignment involves comprehensive discussions with a client to gain a thorough understanding of the role and its context. At this stage we may also give advice on issues such as job definition, candidate specification and remuneration.
We then prepare a detailed brief for the client's approval. This contains information about their organisation, the role, the candidate specification and the reward package. These sections will also be used to brief candidates before they attend their initial interview with us, and to brief researchers if an assignment involves a search. The brief also includes our recommendation for the best method of sourcing candidates - by search, advertised selection or, in some cases, a combination of the two.
The process
Fees and Costs are agreed at the start of an assignment and fixed for the duration of the project.
We have a broad range of experienced Contractor and Temporary staff available at short notice and we aim to supply you with a suitably qualified professional within a 72-hour period.
Contract staff are subject to the same, rigorous vetting procedure as our Permanent candidates, and many come with the personal recommendations of one of our business partners, clients, or may have previously worked for Dovetail on another assignment.
Hourly or daily rates are extremely competitive, and can vary depending on the level of experience you require.
We compile a monthly schedule of "contractor" rates across the UK, so you can quickly ascertain how much you are likely to pay for new "contractor staff".
